Zoe Barnes first came to Mazarrón in 1979 at the age of ten, attending a local school, where she learnt to speak Spanish fluently, made lots of friends and became almost as Spanish as the locals. She lived in Mazarrón before any development and remembers the first villas being built for U.K residents.. From 1983 she spent 6 years in America where she graduated from High School and although she had some of the best years of her life in the USA, Zoe missed Spain and the Spanish way of life.

She came back to this beautiful part of the coast in 1990 and worked, first, for a Law firm and, later, a Gestoría (an office dealing with paperwork of all sorts) where she gained valuable experience of the Spanish legal system, especially regarding property purchase. In 2001 she decided to go into business for herself as a translator and advisor and, to date, has dealt with more than 1,500 satisfied clients.

Following the housing and tourism boom she expanded the business into property sales, providing a full pre and post sales service for the many newcomers and first time buyers in Spain and, in this way, she has helped many clients, both British and Spanish, to find their home in the sun. Although she has concentrated her business activities in the port of Mazarrón and the surrounding area, Zoe has many clients currently living in the surrounding areas and has developed a considerable portfolio of fincas and other country properties.

In 2006, Zoe moved to her new office overlooking the new Multi-million Euro Yacht Marina, a prime location.

Her advice to all prospective buyers: always make sure all paperwork is in order, even if it takes a little longer; get to know the area; take as much advice as possible; finally, never rush into anything.
